Volunteer Opportunities

There are many volunteer opportunities with the Green Corn Project including, "Dig-In" garden-building events, mentoring our gardeners, and participating on committees. No experience is necessary.

Blues on the Green:
Join Green Corn Project and Patagonia at Blues on the Green this summer! We will be giving away GCP t-shirts, books, and plants so be sure to stop by the Patagonia booth. The first concert is Wednesday, June 3, at Waterloo Park. Click here for more information on dates and musical performers.

2009 Seeds to Starts Workshop:
The next workshops will prepare seedlings and starter plants for the Fall Dig-Ins and will be held on Saturday, August 1, and Saturday, August 15. Join us for one or both parts of our workshop to learn how to start growing your own vegetables from seed AND help Austinites in need get access to nutritious affordable food.

Biointensive Gardening Skills Workshop:
Next date is yet to be determined.
This hands-on class with Amy Crowell and Max Elliott teaches the basics of biointensive gardening, an organic gardening method that builds the soil and produces more vegetables in a small area. Click here for more information.
